Being the youngest of three children, Tyler Christensen was vying for attention at a very early age. The desire for the spotlight was present throughout his formative years. High school was a very creative time period for Tyler. He was an actor in the Chandler High School theatre department and the founder and frontman of a three-piece rock band, ‘Promiscuous Chicken’. At the age of of seventeen, Tyler wrote, directed, and starred in his own play. “Broken Homes; Shattered Dreams” Promiscuous Chicken played numerous shows on campus, and one downtown at the now defunct Mason Jar in Phoenix.

But, music was Tyler’s favorite mistress. Beginning in 1993, he explored his musical side once again this time with a fifteen year old’s intensity. Over a three-month period Tyler did little else but teach himself to play guitar. From early evening until late into the night, Tyler would be crouched over his guitar in his bedroom going over chord progressions and testing a shaky singing voice. Photobucket

School hours were devoted to the study of Theatre, and the study of Television Production.

Through his varied interests, Tyler sought a well-balanced approach to the performing arts through both; behind the scenes operations, and his work in the spotlight. In 1997, Tyler was awarded with the Best Actor Award from the Chandler Drama Department upon his graduation.
He continued to work in Television Production after graduation as a videographer for SWAV who held contracts to shoot the marquee performers at the Veterans Memorial Colliseum. Over the following years he continued to explore acting and joining various theatre companies such as; Unlikely Theatre Company (defunct), and Tempe Little Theatre. All the while devoted to honing his songwriting craft and musicianship.
