I am in the process of cataloging my lyric notebooks. There’s a lot of tunes, and it was taking me a while so I’m gonna toss all of my lyrics up here now, and organize them by album as I go. Consider it a sneak peek. There is also guitar chords sketched at the top of the lyric sheets. If you play, strum it out. I will be adding remixing capabilities to the site through CCMixter in the future. Get a head start on your remix before the gates open.
If you’d like to parouse a work-in-progress you can view the Lyrics Page by clicking here, or go to the Lyrics Page on this site.
Currently, I am editing some new video projects. “The Things I’m Gonna Miss”, and ”Jingo” are being filmed and edited and will be posted soon. In the meantime. You can hear ”The Things I’m gonna Miss” here.
Here is a clip of a live performance by Supernormal Tyler that took place at Rula Bula in Tempe Arizona on February 12th. This is part one of a five part series you can view all of the segments on the video page or at our YouTube Channel.
Tyler will be playing three songs live at Walt Richardson’s Open Mic Night at Rula Bula this Tuesday evening.
The show starts at 9pm and Tyler will take the stage late in the evening (past 10pm). The show is comprised of a collection of local Arizona Singer/Songwriters. Supernormal Records will be filming his performance for later viewing on this website. Hope to see you at the show, if not, you can catch all of the action right here on supernormalrecords.com.
Here is my first video. I’m learning the process and showing you all of my warts. “last night I had a mole removed and I had it replaced with a wart.” Enjoy?
February will bring a fully-built out music store here at supernormalrecords.com. All of my music catalog will be available for purchase and I’ll be sure to throw in a few freebies now and then.
I am looking forward to going back into the studio on February 17th, 2008. There is a lot of new material that I can’t wait to share with you all, but, I’ve gotta put the ‘old’ stuff first. Hey, it’ll be new to you, right?
After the store is built out, I will post videos and blogs documenting the recording process, and all of my tiny challenges and successes. Check back often for new developments.
You don’t need to walk around in circles or carousels, but you do need to walk the lorenz attractor (butterfly). I present you the Universal balance kiddies, all chaotic systems eventually draw a lorenz butterfly, from lasers to electricity to …
The Lorenz attractor is a 3-dimensional structure corresponding to the long-term behavior of a chaotic flow, noted for its butterfly shape. The map shows how the state of a dynamical system (the three variables of a three-dimensional system) evolves over time in a complex, non-repeating pattern.
The attractor itself, and the equations from which it is derived, were introduced by Edward Lorenz in 1963, who derived it from the simplified equations of convection rolls arising in the equations of the atmosphere.
From a technical standpoint, the system is nonlinear, three-dimensional and deterministic. In 2001 it was proven by Warwick Tucker that for a certain set of parameters the system exhibits chaotic behavior and displays what is today called a strange attractor. The strange attractor in this case is a fractal of Hausdorff dimension between 2 and 3. Grassberger (1983) has estimated the Hausdorff dimension to be 2.06 ± 0.01 and the correlation dimension to be 2.05 ± 0.01.
The system arises in lasers, dynamos, and specific waterwheels [1].
The equations that govern the Lorenz attractor are:
Who knew it was a big carousel, who knew the universe was only three lines of code. We had to go in and add all this complexity. Looks a bit like a brain.
