Overview: A Hopeful Experiment
Hello. My name is Tyler Christensen, and I am an indie Singer/Songwriter currently living in Scottsdale Arizona. I write, perform, and record my own music and film my live performances and edit together professional finished products for people to view online at my website: supernormalrecords.com, and my YouTube channel at youtube.com/supernormalrecords. I am a vertically integrated artist, a one-man operation utilizing technology to do what most artist and bands farm out to others. I am the living definition of a truly independent artist. I am indie – I am free.
I launched my own record label in January 2008 to further document my ambitions in the music industry, and it has been a smashing success thus far garnering interest in the UK through my last.fm profile, and getting quality hits from as far away as Malaysia. I have been performing across the state of Arizona since 1996, and nationally since 2003. I have played to packed bars, hopping hostel pubs, and deserted dodgy dives. I have no standards because every audience is worth it, even an audience of 1 or 2 people.
I recently took my talents across the pond for a month-long Eastern European tour playing in the Czech Republic and a short stint in Sweden hitting the cities of Stockholm, Smogen, and Kungshamn.
Whether it’s busking on the streets, or rocking the suburbs, I live the life I have always dreamed. I created Supernormal Records as a means to a greater end and that is meeting you and having you hear me play. It’s that simple. Music is our most universal form of communication, and I thank you for your interest thus far.

Since I am chatting you up to convince you to let me play at your venue, I figured I’d get right to the goods. I have filmed and edited a live performance at a local Arizona venue, Rula Bula. The video is in five parts and each segment is a mere three minutes in length. You can watch a quick video now and come back for more when you have some down time.
For the “Public Transit Tours” I will be putting together documentary video’s of travel-tips, hotspots, and venue highlights, as well as general interest videos and personality profiles, and of course the live music performance videos. If you have a subject you would like covered in one of our videos please include that in your response.
